Yankton, SD—Senate Candidate Jason Ravnsborg calls for Republican lawmakers, conservatives, and all Americans to look closely at the latest actions of the Obama Administration and what it actually means in reference to the Affordable Healthcare Act, also known as Obamacare.
On Monday the administration announced another delay in the implementation of the employer mandate, now pushing the requirement into the year 2016.
“This law is obviously broken, and tinkering with it one small step at a time is not the way to fix it or give employers any sense of stability for the economy.” stated Ravnsborg.
“As a nation, our best option is to repeal the law and propose legislation that makes sense and is fair to our economy and our citizens. Continual administrative tinkering will not fix that which is obviously broken.”
House Speaker John Boehner stated that “the president is rewriting law on a whim” and went on to ask “If the administration doesn’t believe employers can manage the burden of the law, how can struggling families be expected to?”
“Our nation does not need whims,” states Ravnsborg, “our nation and our citizens need strong leadership that is willing to step up to the plate and do what is right for our nation. We need to repeal Obamacare. I am looking closely at the Patient Choice, Affordability, Responsibility, and Empowerment Act, or Patient CARE, proposed by Senators Coburn (R-OK), Burr (R-NC) and Hatch (R-UT). The Patient CARE Act empowers the American people, not government centered mandates and regulations, allowing the people to make the best healthcare decisions for their families and themselves.”
“We can do better and we must do better.”
